The bandura is a Ukrainian national instrument. It can be compared to a mandolin. This chorale plays and sings. The Shevchenko Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus was formed in 1918, has been thru several phases, and is centered in Detroit USA. These recordings were made in the 1950s-1970s period. It is art of the highest level.

This melody became popular in Europe as "Listen".
