Description This short film features people in Kenya who have seen the price of staples such as maize, beans and oil soar in the last two years. Many families are now getting by on only one meal a day. In the film, one woman says that she often misses her meals altogether so she can feed her children. Concern is responding to this crisis. In the Kerio Valley, we have successfully piloted a programme that uses mobile phone technology to give cash to the most vulnerable families so they can buy food. Marsabit and Kalacha we are working with partner agency Community Initiatives Facilitation and Assistance (Cifa) to help people manage the effects of drought.
