Description
I'm a law student, and I am aggravated at how often I screw up when I recycle a form by leaving in a previous party's name or make a math error when figuring our fee, etc. Also, while I am a fast typist, there's a lot of overhead and wasted movement and time involved even if you recycle a form (finding all the things that need to be changed, global find/replaces, etc).
Computers and software have gotten pretty powerful, and the practice of law is about the management of information. I'm a computer guy with a degree in information systems; if ANYONE is going to make proper use of this sort of stuff, it needs to be me, so that I can show my classmates and colleagues how this works.
I turned one of my boss's collection Complaints into a template, changed the client's name, and turned all the "stuff that gets changed" into ASK and FILLIN fields, and used a macro to prompt for the values whenever a new document is created from that template.
As you can see, the speech recognition software is just about ready for prime time. :)
